Prignitz wrote in his book "Fischland Darss Zingst":
"The winds seem to have fallen asleep this early
afternoon. Quietness and peace lie over the narrow land between
Sea and Bodden, and while I am walking on the path to Barnstorf,
passing the "Schiefferwiege" and the small harbor of Wustrow, I
feel how it embraces me. I feel calm, very calm. Automatically I
start walking even slower, looking over fields and reed, imagining
the towers of Ribnitz, and then I stop -- I feel that I have
arrived, arrived in another time."
The Fischland and the Darss grew together and
formed a narrow peninsula with
Wustrow located at the narrowest place. Between the peninsula and
the mainland lies the water area of the Bodden, part of an
