The historic old city of Muenster is a lively town centre which represents history and modern life at the same time. The Principal Market with its famous Lamberti church and the city hall, where the Westphalian Peace was signed, as well as the cathedral are just some of the historic buildings that have been built within eight centuries.
The Muensterland is a perfect region to relax. It is Germany's bicycle area no. 1 with over 1500 km of signed out biking routes. There are more than 100 castles to discover and the famous "100-chateau-route" combines historic places with a unique biking experience on more than 1400 km.
