München
Haidhausen
Twenty-five years ago this region on the hill called Rosenheimer berg
on the east bank of the River Isar was still known as the town’s ‘glass
shard quarter’. Subsequently it became chic to go and live in a flat
or to have an office in one of the grander bourgeois houses from the
Gründerzeit (post 1870 era). Today, Haidhausen is a popular shopping
district, also well suited to visiting cafés and restaurants. Do
indulge in a short stroll along Wiener Platz – Johannisplatz –
Kirchenstrasse – Breisacher Strasse – Wörthstrasse –
Preysingstrasse – Gasteig.
