Night Life

Berlin is open all the time and has all sorts of things to offer: you can end a cultural evening with a drink in a fancy place, or you can dance all night until you drop. There is a wide variety in music as well. Trends change quickly, however, and a club that is ‘in’ today, can be ‘out’ again tomorrow. Information about events you can find in the city magazines like tip ( www.tip-berlin.de ), Zitty ( www.zitty.de ), the free magazine [030] (www.berlin030.de), the Siegessäule for homosexuals and lesbians, or in the flyers like Fresh Guide ( www.freshguide.de ).
If this is your first time in the Berlin night life, we recommend a nightly tour through Berlin-Mitte and around the Hackesche Höfe. In the Oranienburger Straße, between the Oranienburger Tor and the Monbijouplatz, bars and restaurant-cafes like Zapata (Tacheles), Zosch, Oren, Obst und Gemüse, Silberstein or Hakbarth’s are very inviting. At the courtyards there are nice occurrences as well: Heckmannhöfe, Rosenhöfe or Sophie-Gips-Höfe (Sophienstraße).
