The substructure, erected with simple stones found in fields,
dates from 1230, the nave in gothic style from the 15th century.
The towers were built in the 19th century. The church was heavily
damaged during the war, and was reconstructed between 1981 and
1987. Today it houses a concert hall and sections of the
Märkische Museum: sacral applied art and a history of Berlin
until 1648
and interchanging exhibitions, with modern art as well.
