Bebelplatz, Mitte
This building in flamboyant baroque style was completed in
1780. It was popularly called "the commode". The library
today is part of Humboldt University. Next to it stands the Alte
Palais (Old Palace), built by Carl Ferdinand Langhans between
1834-36.
