historic centre to Kurfürstendamm

Alexanderplatz – Fernsehturm – Rotes Rathaus – Nikolaiviertel –
Marx-Engels-Forum – Auswärtiges Amt – Berliner Dom – (eventueel
Museumsinsel) – Unter den Linden – Neue Wache – pauze in het
Opernpalais.
Bebelplatz –
Gendarmenmarkt – Friedrichstraße – Unter den Linden – Pariser Platz –
Brandenburger Tor – Reichstag – Postdamer Platz (3 to 4 hours).
Afternoon
Architecture or shop walk on the Potsdamer Platz, eventually museum
visit (Filmmuseum, Kulturforum).

From the Reichstag Sightseeing Tour with bus 100 through the Tiergarten
(Zoo), along the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Schloss Bellevue, Großer
Stern, to the Budapester Straße bus stop (this alternative route for the
afternoon is indicated on the city map with a dotted line).

Of course you can also make the morning walk in reverse and start at the
Brandenburger Tor. For lunch you can go to the Nikolai quarter with its
many small restaurants. Return to the zoo with the S-Bahn starting at
the Alexanderplatz through the Friedrichstraße; this way you can view
the city from a very different perspective.
