Area information

The Holiday Inn Essen City Centre is located in the centre of Essen, where there are several shopping possibilities. The Colosseum music hall is next door, where the ABBA musical "Mamma Mia!" will play from 6 May 2007 onwards. The Holiday Inn Essen City Centre is the optimal starting point for a sightseeing tour through Essen and the Ruhr area.

Travel information

From Frankfurt: - Take the A3 motorway towards Köln/Oberhausen. - At the Breitscheid junction take the A52 motorway towards Essen. - Exit Essen-Rüttenscheid. - Follow the street until you reach the B224 (Alfredstraße), then turn right towards Essen-Zentrum. - Keep going straight on for approximately 3 km (over Bismarckstraße, Hindenburgstraße). - Turn left before the Jet petrol station - into Frohnhauser Straße - You will see the hotel on your right-hand side. From Hamburg: - Take the A1 motorway towards Osnabrück/Münster/Köln. - At the junction signed Münster-Süd take the A43 motorway towards Dülmen/Marl/Recklinghausen/Bochum. - At the junction for Bochum take the A40 motorway towards Essen. - Exit at Essen-Zentrum. - Follow directions from the B224 from Frankfurt. By public transport from Essen central station: Take the underground/subway U11, U17 or U18 towards Berliner Platz/Universität. Alight at the second stop, Berliner Platz. Exit towards Ostfeldstraße. Walk straight on past the Jet petrol station. Turn right into Frohnhauser Straße. You will see the hotel in Frohnhauser Strasse on theright-hand side.

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 16:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable.

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
