The City Hotel Essen is located directly in the city centre of Essen. With an underground station right in front of the hotel, every important point, including the fairground and exhibition centre, is easily to reach. The shopping mile is also right in front of the hotel and the Colosseum musical theatre, with the famous "Mamma Mia" musical starting 6 May 2007, is only 700 metres from the hotel. Many nice restaurants and bars can also be found nearby.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 30.00 per night and person for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 2.  There is no capacity for cots in the room.
