Hotel Pension KastanienhofWelcome to the Hotel Kastanienhof, our nice house, situated in the historical centrum between Alexanderplatz and Prenzlauer Berg, a few minutes from the undergroundlines U2 (Senefelder Platz or Eberswalder Straße) and U 8 (Rosenthaler Platz). Also nearby are the tramlines 13, 50, 53 and the busline 143.

Our hotel with 35 rooms was before a living house in the city. The high walls were typically for the construction in the 19th century. We wanted to keep this construction but at the other hand we have renovated the house so that every guest will feel at home. We think that for this reason we got a lot of tourists and business people who visited our house already for years.

Please note that all drivers need to buy and display an Umweltplakette (environmental sticker) if they wish to access central Berlin. The Kastanienhof's car park can be accessed from 07:00 until 21:30. The size of your car may not exceed 2.3 metres in width and 2.5 metres in height.

Wired internet is available in the business centre and charges are applicable.  Internet via modem is available in the hotel rooms and charges are applicable. 

Parking

Private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and costs EUR 9 per day.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later, 80 percent of the first night will be charged.  In case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

7 % VAT is included.  Service charge is not applicable.  City/tourist tax is not applicable. 

Meal Plan

Buffet breakfast costs EUR 9 per person per night. 

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  All children under 1 year stay free of charge when using existing bedding.  All children under 2 years are charged EUR 8 per night for cots.  All older children or adults are charged EUR 29 per night for extra beds.  Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.  Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 2.
