Rocco Forte Hotel de RomeHotel de Rome is located on Bebelplatz, off Unter den Linden. It is a conversion of an existing building constructed in 1889 by architect Ludwig Heim (appointed master builder of the government), which housed the head office of Dresdner Bank until 1945. This is one of the few luxury hotels in Berlin located in an original building making use of its full architectural splendour and thereby offering guests an authentic Berlin experience.
The ornate and classical design of the original building has been given a contemporary twist by designer Tommaso Ziffer, who also designed the Hotel de Russie in Rome.

Rooms

Our spacious bedrooms invite to state of the art technology in contemporary; elegant and refined surroundings. Bedroom hallways have polished timber floors and a full-length mirrored wall. All rooms feature flat-screen TV, generous work and resting areas. Our bathrooms all have separate shower units, limestone vanity tops, glass paneling, heated mosaic flooring and natural daylight. Designed by Tommaso Ziffer, view either to St. Hedwig Cathedral, Inner Courtyard or Franzoesische Strasse, partly 4 m ceiling and stucco-work, individual air-condition, sound absorbing & self locking doors, high speed internet 2MB/sec., electronic-safe, trouser-press, mini-bar.

Hotel details

Our spa is located in the former treasure cellar and spreads over 700m². In addition to the listed services it has a 15 metre indoor pool, 5 treatment cabins with daylight for various therapies, health and beauty treatments and relaxation areas.

Our restaurant looks on to the inner courtyard and offers a wide range of Mediterranean cuisine prepared from seasonal and regional produce. In the summer we also serve food and drinks on the large terrace in the courtyard. Our bar and lounge area gives a beautiful view of Bebelplatz square and conveys the particularly special atmosphere of our building, which is over 110 years old. We offer a “lie-in” breakfast on weekends and public holidays which you can enjoy until 14:00.
