In Alexisbad you will find a swimming pool, historical monuments, a network of hiking trails, a temple dedicated to Princess Luise, the quaint Köthener Hütte wooden hut, the Verlobungsurne urn and the Harz valley railway. There are also many sights in the nearby surroundings which are worth visiting, such as the city of Strasbourg or the town of Harzgerode with its palace, church and a country parlour. The Harz mountains are located in the centre of Germany and contain the highest mountain peak in the country - the Brocken (1,142 metres). The Alexisbad lake (325 metres above sea-level) is in the romantic Selke valley, and is one of the most charming valleys in the Harz area. This valley is one of the most beautiful landscapes in the Harz region, and offers diverse and interesting hiking trails. A historical highlight of the region is the Selketal railway train, which is the oldest light railway in Harz.

Hotel policies

Cancellation Policy

If cancelled or modified up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.  If cancelled or modified later or in case of no-show, 80 percent of all nights will be charged. 

Deposit Policy

No deposit will be charged. 

VAT and city/tourist taxes

VAT is included.  Service charge is included.  EUR 1.00 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included.  EUR 0.50 city/tourist tax per person older than 11 years per night is not included. 

Meal Plan

Children and Extra Bed Policy

All children are welcome.  One child under 2 years stays free of charge when using existing bedding.  One child under 2 years is charged EUR 5.00 per night in a baby cot.  One child under 6 years is charged 25 % of the room stay per night in an extra bed.  One child from 6 to 11 years is charged 40 % of the room stay per night in an extra bed.  Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
